Governance and Board Members

The former SLCP Council has been re-constituted as a two-tiered Board (Management and Supervisory). The Board will oversee the work of the SLCP Secretariat. Board members are not remunerated.

Stichting SLCP

As of the end of September 2023 SLCP is registered as a non-profit foundation in the Netherlands (RSIN 865635298) known as a ‘stichting’. Our status as a public benefit organization (PBO or in Dutch ‘ANBI’) has been confirmed.

The official separation from the SAC and transition to an independent organization took place on 1 February 2024.

Nikhil Hirdaramani

Representative for Manufacturers and Suppliers

  • Nikhil Hirdaramani is the Director of the Hirdaramani Group. He oversees the company’s sustainability strategy, focusing on both social and environmental initiatives. Nikhil also continues to be an avid advocate of sustainability within the wider industry, and has been member of the board of Sedex, and currently of SAC. Nikhil has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, USA and an MBA from Imperial College UK.

Anna Burger

  • Anna held a role as top-ranking officer at Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and first Chair of the Labor Federation, Change to Win, and was hailed by Fortune Magazine as “the most powerful woman in the labor movement”. She served on President Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board from 2009-2011, and launched co-chairs the Gettysburg Project on Civic Engagement as a Harvard University Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow. She helped to create, and currently leads, the Cornell University ILR School New Conversations Projects, bringing together multi-stakeholders in global supply chains that focus on improving labor standards.

Ninh Trinh

  • Ninh is the Regional Director of Responsible Sourcing at Target, managing teams responsible for upholding human rights standards and promoting sustainable environmental practices throughout Target’s supply chain. He has over 20 years of experience in various positions within the retail industry, and is recently active in developing programs to support social compliance and supply chain improvement.

Michel Schaepers

  • Michel is the CEO and a Board member of Eshuis Accountants and Advisors, a B-Corp certified accounting and audit firm. Michel is a part-time practicing auditor and business advisor, alongside his leadership role within the company. Prior to Eshuis, Michel worked for KPMG. 

    Michel holds a Charted Accountant and Master of science Information Management from Nijenrode University (Netherlands). Besides a career as an auditor, Michel has worked in other industries, such as Consulting, Corporate Finance, and Forensic Accounting, to be able to explore and develop broader professional and personal skills. Most recently, Michel has taken on several courses and studies in the field of leadership and sustainability. 

Abhishek Bansal

  • Abhishek is Head of Sustainability at Arvind Group and leads various sustainability and innovation projects of the group. He has over ten years of experience within the sustainability consulting domain, and currently devices Arvind’s strategy to reduce the energy, water, carbon & chemical footprint of the organization whilst leading several innovative practices in the apparel industry. Abhishek is also on the Board of ZDHC Foundation and Open Apparel Registry.

Michael Cai

  • Mayank is a Senior Sustainability Lead at Inditex, working for the last 14 years in the Company, with overall experience of more than 19 years in the sustainability domain. Within Inditex, he has been leading key strategic responsibilities (both regional and global) and works extensively on engagement with various Stakeholders, including Trade Unions, NGOs, MSIs and Financial Institutions. He is currently representing Inditex at various International forums, including Better Work, ILO, SAC, ETI and Industry Summit. Prior to the same, Mayank has worked at key positions in IKEA and SGS.

Margot Sfeir

  • As Director of Client Services at LRQA, Margot co-leads a global account management team, supporting brands and retailers in the development, strategy, implementation and monitoring of global Responsible Sourcing Programs. Prior to joining LRQA, Margot was Director of Compliance and Social Responsibility at J.Crew, overseeing development and implementation of their social responsibility and compliance programs. Margot is a graduate of The University of Chicago, with an honors degree in Economics.

  • Michael is the Director of Operations & Supply Chain at Décor (Suzhou) Co. Limited, managing a sophisticated supply chain at a global scale. He is a veteran in the textile and garment industry since 1998, with extensive experience in merchandising, product development, operations and supply chain management, responsible sourcing and sustainability. Michael is passionate, open-minded and eager to contribute his part for a better planet for all.

Ana Chiu

  • Ana Chiu is the Senior Director of Corporate Responsibility at PVH. Ana grew up hearing stories from her family about factory life, and believes passionately in the power of good manufacturing jobs. In her work role, she oversees programs to improve human rights compliance and environmental performance in PVH's global supply chain. In her home role, she is raising two daughters. Previous to PVH, Ana has worked in government, nonprofit, and manufacturing. 

Wendy Dittmer

Strategic Seat

  • Wendy is Cascale’s Senior Director of Operations and oversees the Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Program Management Office functions. As part of the executive team, Wendy ensures that the organization has the resources and foundation required to build and implement the Higg Index, the industry’s leading suite of sustainability tools. She is based in the US out of Austin, Texas and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

    Before joining Cascale, Wendy spent over 25 years in the technology and fashion industries focusing on sustainability, operations, and IT. She supported Raven + Lily, PBC, a Benefit Corporation apparel and lifestyle brand headquartered in Austin, Texas as COO; led the Responsible Business Alliance’s external communications and stakeholder engagements; and while at Dell, led work in supply chain sustainability, supply chain IT, and call center technology.

    Wendy has a Masters of Science in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University, and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University. While she loves working in the fashion industry, software coding will always hold a special place in her heart.

Annabel Meurs

Representative for Multi-Stakeholder Initiatives 

  • Annabel Meurs is the Associate Director of Fair Wear. She is an expert in Human Rights Due Diligence with over 12 years’ experience in advancing human rights in the global garment, textile and footwear supply chains. As part of Fair Wear’s management team, she oversees the strategic development of methodologies to prevent and remediate labour rights violations in garment producing countries. She manages a wide range of stakeholders from labour NGOs and trade union organisations in production countries, to international institutions such as the ILO and OECD. Annabel was also at the forefront of developing the Brand Performance check system; the set of indicators that measures brands’ progress in implementing their due diligence responsibilities. Prior to Fair Wear, Annabel worked in development aid, lobby and advocacy and the European Centre for Conflict Prevention.

Jonathan Obermeister

Governance & Strategy Advisor

  • Jonathan is the managing partner of Change Agency, a change consulting and research business. He spent the first half of his career in marketing and communications before setting up Change Agency as an antidote to traditional consultancies. Jonathan was a co-author of SLCP’s first 5-year Strategic Plan. He and his colleagues have a long track record in strategic planning for MSIs, funders and other non-profits in areas as diverse as apparel, agricultural commodities, water, chemicals, working conditions and human rights. On the commercial side, he continues to work with some of the world’s leading companies and brands.

Nim Deshpande

Representative for Civil Society 

  • Nim Deshpande is the Managing Director of Good Business Lab (GBL). Over the past 15 years, he has helped leading global corporations and NGOs develop actionable strategies for business growth and social impact. His approach to strategy draws from extensive experience in communications, management consulting, product development, and human-centered design. 

    Nim is driven to figure out how businesses can be a source of positive impact in the world - that profitability, equity, and sustainability aren't always mutually exclusive. Good Business Lab, which Nim leads, is dedicated to identifying policies, programs, products, and services that drive gains in business returns and worker wellbeing. Nim holds an M.B.A from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Williams College. 

Joe Wozniak

  • Joseph Wozniak has over 20 years’ experience in international trade and development. He leads the Trade for Sustainable Development programme (T4SD) at the International Trade Centre (ITC). T4SD is a specialized and technical resource within ITC aligning sustainability efforts in global value chains, for the benefit of small and medium enterprises in particular.  

    Prior to ITC, Joe worked for KPMG LLP and as a Senior Economist with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), formerly OPIC, in Washington, D.C. He was responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the Agency’s portfolio and the development of analytical tools for the impact assessment of OPIC’s emerging markets investment projects. He received his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
