Find out how SLCP is driving greater data quality and integrity to provide credible and actionable data

High quality social and labor data is essential to drive decent working conditions in global supply chains.

Ensuring that SLCP data remains credible and actionable is one of SLCP’s four strategic aims in our five-year strategy.

  • The VB score is informed by:

    • VB Management check score (to ensure that VB policies and procedures are in place)

    • Individual Verifier scores (exam score taken by the Verifier during onboarding and subsequent QA outcomes)

    • Corrective Action Requests (CARs) as an outcome of ongoing QA and complaints/ investigations

    • Encouraging facilities to check VB risk levels and performance scoring to select highperforming VBs.

    • Facilities can raise tickets for any concerns via our Helpdesk.

    • Education on robust review of the assessment report before finalization.

    • Tracking deleted assessment reports and investigating facility unethical behavior. If misconduct is detected, we issue alerts and may invalidate reports to prevent misleading data.

    • Providing facility training to understand the Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) Tool and the verification processes.

    • Providing facility with a way to engage workers through our worker survey process (WE Tech).

  • Automated checks: Automated data quality checks conducted on all assessment reports after the Verifier has completed the report.

    Desktop reviews: Remote review for any VRF assessments identified as risky. Review of the very first report a new Verifier completes to use as training for subsequent verifications.

    Counter verifications: An on-site one-day visit to a facility that recently completed a verification to assess if the verified assessment report is accurate.

    Shadow verifications: On-site observation of verification to assess Verifier performance.

    Duplicate verifications: On-site complete repetition of the SLCP verification by another VB.

  • Strengthening regional engagement with VBs and Verifiers

  • Implementing a risk-based approach to the Quality Assurance (QA) process

  • Streamlining the data quality and integrity (DQI) investigations process

  • Using stakeholder feedback to drive data quality enhancements

  • Supporting facilities to provide honest and accurate data
